This was my first trip to Wilmington, and I didn’t really know where I was when I ended up on the waterfront. I did know, though, that I was in a port city and that there had to be a bookstore somewhere, and I never pass up a chance to visit the bookstores in the cities and towns where I travel, so I searched for bookstores near me and found this one. And I am so glad I did! It was so much fun just walking through the shop and look g at all of the books and bookmarks and games and other things in there. The ladies that run the store were very nice and I enjoyed taking with them. I hated that I didn’t get to stay as long as I wanted, but, I was in a race with the parking meter and about 10 blocks from the truck, so, I left with the promise to return.Definitely the place to go for your literary zen in Wilmington!

I came here with my wife, who was on a letterboxing quest. There's a letterbox in here (a black spiral bound book on the third shelf from the bottom, at the extreme right as your back faces the coffee bar), although the person working here was not familiar. It is chockablock with all kinds of books, old and new, with overstock above the shelves that you'll need store help to reach.

We took the walking tour of old town Wilmington with Gwenyfer Rohler as our guide. She is a walking (excuse the pun) encyclopedia of the authors who lived and worked here and the movies made about the place and the movies made here. She has a very entertaining style, covering the good, the bad and the ugly. The tour is extremely comprehensive and gives not only information about authors but also a history of the town. I highly recommend this tour, especially with this guide

We always enjoy visiting old book stored and this was no exception. Vast selection and friendly owner. My wife bought some store-made Greek mythology bookmarks. Great stop.
