Awesome toy store where they allow the kids to try out their toys. Great experience for young children. Highly recommend. Staff is very friendly.

This is a TOY STORE! I'm over 55 and I love coming to Dancing Bear Toys! So many unique and unusual gifts for children that are difficult to find now that stores such as FAO Schwartz are no longer operating.

What a fun place! Brought back so many memories for the adults and we made new memories looking around. We all found something fun to buy. Don’t miss this cute shop!

We took our grandchildren here to buy some things. The kids had a lot more fun than we did because they didn’t mind wandering all over the store to find things they wanted. Initially, this “exploration” was fun for us, but it became tedious. The Dancing Bear has one of the most complete inventories of toys for children in the Asheville area. Their offerings include craft kits, action figures, some books, and a host of other things including infant items and outdoor toys. There are things in essentially all price ranges, including “stocking stuffer” items. Most of their inventory seems to be carefully selected and of the non-junk variety. Of note, for local residents, The Dancing Bear has gift registries, a “Birthday Club,” and a variety of activities—each lasting perhaps an hour.

An exciting store for kids to visit! My daughter had a fever so our plans for sightseeing were curtailed. I took my 9 year old son across the street to Dancing Bear Toys for something to do. We spent about 2 hours there! Excellent array of educational, fun, fuzzy, and quirky high quality toys. Floor to ceiling fun. Not too pricey. Super nice staff.
