Since 1946, this mom-and-pop store has sold knick-knacks, tchotchkes, trinkets and any other kitschy item under the Carolinian sun. With over 26,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space on seven levels, Gay Dolphin considers itself as the 'World's Largest Gift Store'. A small sampling of their shelves details things like shark's teeth, post-cards, T-shirts, sea sponges and other interesting products. Its location on Ocean Boulevard makes it almost an impossible shop to miss since it's in the middle of everything.

MoreGay Dolphin Gift Cove has anything and everything for your vacation gift / novelty shopping all in one place. Multiple levels with unlimited selections. Prices were very reasonable and staff is super friendly. A must visit on your trip to Myrtle Beach, SC!
MoreI bought the most beautiful lamp there this week! They were so nice and packaged it as if it was being shipped across the country, not just riding home in my backseat! I love the Gay Dolphin, always spend hours in there just looking at all the unique things they have! Can't go to Myrtle Beach without going here!
MoreIf you're visiting Gay Dolphin Gift Cove in Myrtle Beach, do yourself a favor and set aside plenty of time to explore! We did when we visited in July 2026 and had an absolute blast wandering through this incredible treasure trove of a gift shop. Every corner seems to reveal something new, unexpected, or downright fun. We also found the prices reasonable, unlike some of the other shops on the boardwalk. They truly have a little bit of everything—from beach souvenirs and quirky signs to home décor, collectibles, and unique gifts. It's the kind of place where your imagination starts running wild as you picture all the creative ways you could add to your home or surprise friends and family with something one-of-a-kind.Whether you're seriously shopping or just browsing, the Gay Dolphin is an experience in itself. We left with smiles, a few treasures, and memories of a really fun afternoon. It's one of those Myrtle Beach stops that you won't want to miss!
