For almost 200 years, a hotel has sat on this corner of South Main Street and McBee Avenue. And over those years, luxury is something this corner knows well. At the turn of the 19th Century, the Mansion House Hotel proudly served the South until demolished in 1924. The following year, the Poinsett Hotel opened and served such notables as Cornelius Vanderbilt and Amelia Earhart. Today, Starwood owns the property and as with all Westin rooms, they come equipped with a 'Heavenly' bed and LCD flat-screen televisions. Pets are welcome for an additional fee and can even stay in their own Heavenly Dog Bed made available at the front desk. The Westin Poinsett has all a guest needs to stay in luxury in the Greenville area.

Had a wonderful service experience during a weekend stay celebrating a landmark Wedding Anniversary. The Concierge, Janice Smith, not only provided outstanding guidance and assistance with dinner reservations during a heavily booked event week, but upon learning my wife and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary arranged a surprise complementary Champagne and dessert delivery to our room accompanied by a beautifully written congratulatory card. My best Concierge interaction and service in a lifetime of personal and business travel.
MoreIt was pouring rain and I didn't feel like walking out on Main Street. I went into the restaurant in the hotel. I have eaten many meals in hotels so I wasn't really expecting much. What I experienced was pretty good food but awesome service. Tessa was my server and she just had a knack of knowing when to fill my coffee or water etc. She even brought me a coffee to go. I spilled a little of the benedict on the white table cloth and she just smiled and told me it wasn't a problem. Thanks Tessa for a great experience. It made the cloudy/rainy day quite nice.

MoreI went there for a conference, wonderful site, a little difficult getting into the Wi-Fi but overall it was wonderful. I would point out that our local liaison was Daijah was VERY helpful. Without her we would have so many things have gone wrong, but she was priceless! Great location in Greenville and beautiful historic hotel.
