The hotel is right next to I-5. The highway makes noise but I got used to it. The room is nice and rather comfortable. I did kill a spider but no big deal. I stayed there a week and it wasn't until the last day that we had internet. That was a pain as I had work related things that required internet service. The hotel workers were very friendly and nice!

Great location for visiting Carlsbad. Rooms are very clean, neat and have a small microwave and refrigerator. Vons Grocery is not far and easy for me to pick up yogurt and granola for the room. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Laundry room has a washer/dryer and the area is kept very clean. Felt safe parking car in lot outside the building. Appreciated coffee first thing in the morning. It was always ready at 6am. Only issue is that it is next to busy I-5, so if you are staying 5 nights like I did, ask for a room facing the back of the building to cut down on some of the noise.

Excellent location next to freeway. However property is really minimally stocked.The rooms are comfortable. Housed on 3 floors?They have a small pool efficient elevator great views from the building. The bed is quite comfortable. Nice painting is displayed with good wardrobe. There is a microwave oven refrigerator for the requi. Settings, desk and chair. A nice television and also a comfortable bathtub. There is no restaurant in the property. However, 24 hour beverage availability near the reception. Is there ample parking breakfast was a rundown with only a Danish bun? Otherwise property is good

I never would have chosen this hotel had I known how utterly noisy it is. The first few reviews noted it was quiet it was, but the opposite is true. The traffic noise is deafening. Add to that, the family who runs it, spent considerable time in the center court talking loudly and shouting to each other. The sounds from adjoining rooms at times seemed like they were inside my unit. Pure craziness!! If you want a quiet place, this is not it.

The rooms are big and beds are comfortable. The location is very convenient. Lots of restaurants nearby and the highway exit is right there. The hotel is only one mile from the ocean and very close to Legoland. Second time staying there and will stay again soon.
