We took a 12-day private tour with All Japan Tours recently.. The destinations (Nikko, Mt Fuji, Kanazawa, Kyoto) were breathtaking, and our Kyoto guide was excellent. BUT All Japan Tours' management is highly amateurish.For the initial leg of our journey, they assigned a disappointing, daily changing assortment of guides with minimal depth, changing drivers, and their itinerary planning was sub-optimal—even double-booking the same craft workshops. They were completely unresponsive to our feedback. Our customer rep, Kiyoshi, and their head office seemed to be on different wavelengths. For a premium-priced trip this felt like an amateur shop. Would never recommend them.

My wife and I recently completed the “Charms of Southern Japan” tour with All Japan Tours, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The itinerary was incredibly well planned and gave us the opportunity to experience a beautiful mix of history, culture, scenery, spirituality, food, and modern Japan.Some of the unforgettable highlights included the breathtaking floating torii gate at Miyajima, the moving visit to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, the stunning Takachiho Gorge, the Beppu hot springs, Nagasaki’s historic sites, and the wonderful Wagyu dinner in Fukuoka. Every day brought something unique and memorable.What truly made this trip exceptional, however, was our outstanding tour guide, Kimi-san.Kimi-san was absolutely wonderful throughout the entire tour. She was organized, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly caring toward every member of the group. Traveling across multiple cities, trains, ferries, hotels, and attractions could have been stressful, but Kimi-san made everything feel smooth and effortless.She provided excellent explanations about Japanese history, culture, traditions, and local customs, which made each destination much more meaningful. She was always attentive to everyone’s needs, helped with luggage logistics, transportation, questions, restaurant suggestions, and made sure everyone felt comfortable and included.What impressed us most was her kindness and genuine warmth. She consistently went above and beyond to help people, always with a smile and positive attitude. You could tell she truly cared about making sure every guest had an amazing experience.The hotels, transportation, meals, and overall organization of the tour were excellent. We especially appreciated how efficiently everything was coordinated, from the Shinkansen rides to the ferry crossings and hotel transfers.This was one of the best guided tours we have ever taken, and much of that credit goes to Kimi-san. We would highly recommend this tour and All Japan Tours to anyone wanting to experience the beauty and culture of southern Japan in a comfortable, organized, and meaningful way.Thank you again to Kimi-san and the entire AJT team for such a memorable journey.

We used All Japan Tours for our honeymoon in Japan and had a very disappointing experience. The planning process lacked transparency, the itinerary changed repeatedly, and the final trip was very different from what was originally presented.The most frustrating issue was that a high-end omakase sushi experience we were promised at Sushi Hazan was quietly replaced with a much lower-tier tourist-style sushi meal at Sushi No Wa without advance notice. When we raised concerns afterward, All Japan Tours took zero accountability and refused any compensation, instead blaming suppliers and others involved.In addition, tour guides made comments and assumptions that we found disrespectful regarding our ethnicity, gender, and budget, which made parts of the experience uncomfortable and unprofessional. The tours themselves also felt heavily geared toward elderly travelers and often lacked flexibility and efficiency we expected from a honeymoon-focused trip as our budget was poorly managed for our itinerary. For example, the car for private transportation was a van with 8 seats, when we should have had a regular car for these travels. But for the tours, we apparently didn't have the budget for anything private and had to take public transportation everywhere.Overall, the trip involved constant confusion around pricing and inclusions, repeated itinerary changes, and a lack of accountability when problems occurred. We would strongly encourage future travelers to get all experiences, vendors, and costs confirmed clearly in writing before booking with All Japan Tours.

We recently went to Japan for the Cherry Blossom season with All Japan Tours. From beginning to end, the trip was super organized, we always felt taken care of and never had to worry about transportation, tickets for sites, or meals. The schedule was tightly packed but for an introduction to Japan, the tour was perfect. Our guides and drivers were top notch, the sights were incredible and the trip was fantastic. Everyone was so accommodating. You will be so happy you are touring with them.

horrible your bad accommodations a lot of changes missed items no commentary avoid this outfit at all costs. i’m not. newbie traveler i can do this myself but i didn’t want o be troubled with logistics. this is the last time i travel with tour but avoid this group!
