tripadvisorOur annual trip to a Florida beach. We went to Longboat Cay because Captive Island, our usual destination, was mostly wiped out by a hurricane and won't be the same for many years. Longboat has a very nice beach and a few good restaurants. Dockside restaurant has great ambiance and was our favorite.
MoreVery nice shady park for a walk. All native plants with Mangroves. Nice platforms to walk out to water. Lots of dogs here, some not on leashes even though it’s clearly stated to have dog leashed. Late morning we found the best time, hardly a person around.
MoreA local gem, we’ll manicured with a myriad of hiking opportunities in well maintained trails. A children’s playground is available and dogs are welcome.
MoreWe enjoyed discovering & walking this local park/mangrove area during our Longboat Key vacation. It is well-maintained with paths, restrooms, signage and gazebo seating/benches. Located mid-island near Harry’s on the Sarasota bayside, your walk begins in the park and then the paths lead to mangrove areas with several lookout points into Sarasota bay. There is parking and a playground for children. Recommended as a stop and/or beach walk alternative.
MoreGreat park on the way from Sarasota. Before Coquina beach. Nice easy walk. Very clean bathrooms. Nice children area. Visit early to see the jumping fish.
