Located just north of Atlanta, this unique park is about as frequented as its clever name implies. The name, Lost Mountain Park, itself is derived from the peculiar way the mountain seems to disappear as visitors approach on foot. Utilized mostly by local fisherman, the park is thickly forested and features two serene lakes. Picnic facilities and hiking trails are provided. Maps are available at the visitors center, where rangers are always willing to point out the best fishing spots.

Reviews
tripadvisorWent to this county park for the first time to attend a granddaughters birthday party and one of the pavilions. Relatively clean and well kept with lots of things for the kids to play one. Overall, the park was impressive.
MoreThis is a nice park with several things to interest a family or couple. There is a soft ball field, gymnasium for basketball, several playgrounds, a gazebo and grills for parties... Just come visit! You won't have any regrets!
MoreI have been to Lost Mountain so many times and have loved it. The softball park is great. There are two fun playgrounds, a large peaceful lake and well marked walking trails. During the softball games, they also serve the best french fries!
MoreIt was a very good experience. It's a nice clean place, and it's a fun place to be with just the right people.
MoreTrails, pond to fish, playground and more. There is also a Senior Center at the entrance of the park, with lots of senior activities including ballroom dancing, pool tables, and other activities. Cobb County Parks does a great job on our parks and this is just one shinning example.
