On October 16th I toured the Rookery with my college roommates ( 53 year reunion of sorts). I am handicapped, limited walking and standing, and using a cane. An employee of the Trust insured that I was able to see the architecture of the upper levels. Even though it was not her job, Eileen, went out of her way, to stay and talk with me so as to give me a sense of what my colleagues were experiencing. So charming and professional, she should be commended for outstanding customer service. J. Rivers

You can walk around the ground floor of The Rookery building in Chicago without paying for a tour, but I highly recommend you take a Frank Lloyd Wright Trust tour of the building. Your guide will explain the history of the building and FLW’s participation in the redecoration of the building which was designed and built by Burnham and Root 18 years before Wright became involved. Details you would have missed will be pointed out by the guide. If you’re a FLW nerd like me, you’ll want to take the tour!

BEWARE! If you purchase tickets, they are not refundable. Terrible and inexcusable customer service.

We toured The Rookery and really enjoyed it. Our guide gave us alot of really interesting information on the history of Chicago and it’s famous architectural innovators. The building is so well preserved it’s really incredibly beautiful, if you like Art Deco then you don’t want to miss this.

What a fabulous tour this is. Our guide Lelia was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and made this a thoroughly worthwhile time. It's best with a guide not only for the information gained but also access to sections of this amazing building off limits to the public. It's a MUST.
