Uncomfortable going there since they added a security guard outside the building. I used to go every week. Now I only go once or twice a year solely because of this. Miss the old library. This one is cold and impersonal. Hate the concrete stairs and elevators. Hate the self-checkout and the standing-only computers. Hate that you don't get free copies anymore. Hate that there is hardly any parking. Hate that the computer area smells bad. Positives: nice DVD selection and books on CD selection. That is it.

Granted, it's a nice new building and it's pretty but the old one was perfectly serviceable. This is a prime example of politicians just wasting our money. There's so many other projects that could have used the funds.

Easy street parking, very open layout. Employees are very helpful. Love to sit and ready and look out over the beautiful city of Vancouver.

The library never ceases to delight me. I appreciate their willingness to search other libraries for the books I am looking for.
