They are a bit paranoid bout masks at this point. But as always a good visit. I have to say I preferred their previous locations to their present spot downtown.

This place should be on the national register of historic places. Have been in Wuxtry records many times over the past year and it’s always a pleasant experience. All kinds of new and used vinyl and CDs, even posters. They also offer fair prices on albums you want to sell. They even sell a limited selection of stereo gear and have an assortment of used, vintage stuff next door that they’ll show you on request. They have a sweet Audio Technica turntable and Edifer speaker special we took advantage of that is affordable and an excellent value. The Edifers are great and have enough lower end to fill out a full sound for a small to medium sized room. Helpful, quirky, interesting, resourceful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Wuxtry has been around a long time and it’s perfected the art of being exactly what it should be - an extraordinary experience.

This is the place to go for records in Athens. I have purchased many records from here while starting my record collection. I also took advantage of the bundle they have in store for speakers and an audio-technica turntable (which was a great price by the way). Each time I come into the store the staff bends over backwards to make sure I find everything I am looking for. Here are a couple examples: 1. I was missing my receipt for my audio-technica turntable and Nate at the store was more than willing to track down the receipt and make a photocopy for me. Amazing customer service. 2. Everytime I am looking for a specific record they take the time to write my name, number and exactly what I am looking for. They always call to let me know if they have it in stock. 3. I THOUGHT I had an issue with one record I purchased from there. Took it back to the store and they played it on at least two other turntables and there were no issues. Just for my peace of mind they let me switch out my record for an identical copy. Again, amazing customer experience! Don't waste your time on Amazon, go here. These guys are super knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming. I was little intimidated at first as I wasn't sure what to expect but honestly with the staff as nice as they are you have nothing to worry about. I won't buy my records from anywhere else but Wuxtry from now on. This is also a great place for me to bring my daughter and share the love of music. Thank you Nate, Jarrett and the rest of the staff for being so accommodating!!

You have to watch your footing in Wuxtry Records on E Clayton Street - it's on all sorts of higgledy-piggledy levels, and there are hidden steps, trip hazards and shifting floor levels. It's something to bear in mind as you'll be completely and utterly absorbed by the dazzling selection of vinyl and CDs on show - it's hard to draw yourself away from the rows of good old-fashioned boxes. Some spectacular 1960s LP rarities as well as more mainstream music choices. They even have a section on cassettes. Perhaps they're making a comeback too. The staff know what they're talking about, which is refreshing. There are also stereos and turntables for sale, as well as info about local gigs.
