Through our Get Off The Couch™ programming, Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) provides charitable services benefiting the overall well-being of our nation’s heroes, whom we call Sheep Dogs (Military, Veterans, and First Responders through Outdoor Adventures (physical activity), Warrior PATHH training (mental wellness) and Continued Service/Disaster Response (volunteerism) programs. Sheep Dog Impact Assistance (SDIA) proudly serves our nation’s heroes from coast to coast, spanning Alaska to Florida, Maine to Hawaii, and every state in between. Our Get Off The Couch programming addresses a critical and urgent issue: preventing suicide among military personnel, veterans, and first responders. Our funding allows Sheep Dogs to participate in programming across our continuum of care free of charge. SDIA partners with renowned organizations such as the Boulder Crest Foundation and the Avalon Action Alliance to deliver the Warrior PATHH program—a training program that focuses on post-traumatic growth, helping participants turn trauma into strength and resilience. In addition to Warrior PATHH, SDIA’s Outdoor Adventures and Continued Service/Disaster Response programming provide opportunities for Sheep Dogs to engage in meaningful activities, connect with their peers, and introduce the concepts of camaraderie, support, and purpose—all essential components of mental wellness and suicide prevention.
