We had tickets to 'A Beautiful Noise'. The first problem is that the tickets are digital and available only through one's cell phone. Exceptions can be made, but I didn't know this ahead of time.Parking was easy enough and included in the tickets, after my initial parking reservation was refunded.Due to cost factors, our seats were high enough to not see the performance well. The seating is quite steep and care is needed to access one's seat.Gammage was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The exterior is graceful and his design is apparent. The interior is more dated and looks like it could use a makeover. On the level where our seats were, the restrooms could not accommodate the people needing to use them. They were clean but dated.The performance was good as were the acoustics.Due to the ticket issues, we will most likely not return.

The parking staff told me small clutch would not be allowed so I walked 10 min to the car only to find out that it was a LIE! Those 10 min delayed us, then inside the workers sent us to 3 different doors. Then the inside little old lady (I'm 70 myself) could not find our seat because all were filled. She went out for a supervisor who said someone is in our seats. He got another supervisor while we stood and watched 20 min of the play. Finally the 2nd supervisor found seats for the other people so we could have our rightful purchased seats. Ignorance and incompetence at its finest by everyone! Even the signs showed a clutch purse was allowed!

Many attendees — including myself — were denied entry just 15 minutes before the show due to minor bag size discrepancies. Security was turning many people away for bags that were off by as little as 1/4 to an inch, including soft foldable purses that clearly posed no threat.The enforcement felt unnecessarily strict and inflexible, especially given how close it was to showtime. While I understand the importance of safety and policy consistency, the lack of reasonable discretion and accommodation significantly impacted the experience for many customers. In our case, we had walked to the venue from our hotel, and after being turned away, had to rush back to drop off my purse. This caused for us to miss part of the show we had paid for. On top of this we booked tickets in the Orchestra VIP section and the audio was terrible (we are in our early 30s with no hearing issues).

The least accommodating theatre I’ve ever been too, they’re lucky there is t really another competing venue in metro Phoenix, if there were they’d be out of business.The staff was brusque and borderline rude to a person who was u comfortable with the VERY low railings and ask if they would help to reseat her. PS I’m sure this place is grandfathered since it was design by Frank Lloyd Wright, there is no way those railing are up to a modern safety code and with a quick google search you can see that people actually HAVE FALLEN from the balcony.The staff couldn’t be bothered one bit to help this person, pretty poor customer service IMO

We went to the Gammage our first time to see Hamilton. It really is a nice facility. Comfortable seats. Acoustics were great. Bathrooms clean and have people directing traffic flow during intermission. Nice concession stand. I highly recommend.
