We only spent one night as we were traveling. This hotel was not only in need of a deep cleaning, it needs an updating all around. Plus educating staff on customer service protocols. First, the staff was dressed as off they just rolled out of bed. The lobby. Seats are worn and some are ripped. When we got to our room, it felt dirty. Just something about it. You can tell. The wall light switch plate was loose and was pulling away from the wall. The wall thermostat was inoperable and loose from the wall and a note was attached that said use unit controls. It didn’t feel safe. Then I killed a bug in our room! In all of our many travels (domestic & international) never had this happened. We probably should have left and found another place. But, after driving 10 hours, we were TIRED! Our reservation was to include breakfast. When we went down that morning, there was no breakfast out. We asked to e front desk and they were perplexed. After asking hem to look at our reservation, ah yes there it was. So she YELLED across the lobby to the woman at the counter that we get breakfast (they had a paid counter). That woman told us we could get 1 item. That’s it. And that’s exactly how she said it. It was a bad experience. Don’t stay here. Go somewhere else. We will not be back.

Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else. This place is just dirty and run down. Carpets are all stained and mildew smelling. Had to switch rooms because 1st room had water pouring out from under the sink when you turned the faucet on. The second room the AC thermostat on the wall was blank and not functioning. The shower had odd brown stains on floor as well as in the toilet. I’ll let you guess as to what it was! Then to top it off they double charged me for the room on my credit card. I had to spend 40 minutes at the front desk the next morning trying to get it fixed. The morning lady was nice and we got it straightened out. However the woman at check-in only wanted to argue about everything instead of fixing it. Rudest most un helpful person ever.

Hotel is outdated with disgusting carpets that cancel out the cleanliness elsewhere in hotel. Loud. Fire alarm in the middle of the night.

I’ve stayed at Courtyards many times over the years and have seen a steady decline in the quality of hotel. This specific location definitely needs some updating. Rooms are a bit shabby. Beds very uncomfortable, could only get a handful of TV stations (all others said no signal). Bath tub had a grimy film. But the worst was a very loud party going on between multiple room around us. This lasted from midnight until almost 4am. And these weren’t spring break kids. For the price we paid this was definitely not worth it.

We had an extremely disappointing stay at the Marriott Courtyard Macon. As a Marriott Platinum member I Have stayed at many Courtyards over the years and this one was way below the normal standards of a courtyard. In particular:On check in we were only given one key card. When we asked for a second, as there were two of us, we were told that they were running out and could only give out one. There was no coffee in room and the front desk had none either. It seems they were cutting the budget and saving on supplies. The power was out much of night and morning. There were storms in the area and they may have caused some problems. But when the power came back on only some fixtures worked and others didn’t. Very strange and inconvenient. Also, there was no hot water for showers in the morning. Yes, the power was out but I assume these were gas water heaters. So no shower before we left. And there was no internet in the morning either. The housekeeping was marginal as well. Floors were sticky and the carpet was dirty. Our feet were black.Overall a very poor experience. We would not return.
