Relics from America's Gilded Age reside at the Lightner Museum located in St. Augustine, the nation's oldest city. Some of the ornately impressive exhibits include fine and decorative arts, unusual home furnishings and the highlight, Tiffany stained glass. The collections also include other Victorian collectibles, costumes and even archaic mechanical musical instruments. The museum is in what was once the Alcazar Hotel, a historic landmark that dates back to 1887, and it features the museum's restaurant, the Café Alcazar, inside the massive old swimming pool.

MoreDid not m b ow what to expect — but what a wonderful musuem. The collections were very different — esp. the furniture and the glassware. Really need 2-2.5 hours to see it all — and it is worth seeing it all.
MoreThe Lightner Museum felt like a hidden gem. It wasn't crowded so easy to explore all the beauties displayed there.
MoreGilded age collection - Tiffany art, beautiful glass collection, old bicycles. Very diverse!!! Unique early 19th century furniture too! Definitely a must visit!!!
MoreThe water feature in the center of the building is nice -- a good chance for interesting reflections at the right time of day. Lots to see inside while wandering from room to room. A must visit place.
