We love Princess Place Preserve, a great way to spend an afternoon hiking, relaxing or touring the lodge on the weekends. We loved it so much we went three times in a week. The presentation by Paul at the lodge was very informative on the history of the preserve. We encountered armidillo's, deer and a beautiful hawk.

Princess Place preserve is exactly like it sounds. It’s made for a princess but it’s also made for everyone. It’s everything that a place would need to make you fall in love. You can go horseback riding. You can get lost on a covered bridge with your significant other. You can picnic and fish in 7 to 10 different places around the property. There’s so many great hidden spots for this type of activity you’ll never get bored. There’s historical sites to explore and experience. Learn something new about a unique place with a fascinating history. They have an old horse barn with the house just up the hill and they have one of the first pools in Palmcoast that you can explore that still has water in it. And all of this historical beauty can be explored next to the water. It’s my favorite place.There are so many unique trails that you can walk down or ride down or drive your car down. There’s a little bridge that you can go across and you’ll come out into a little trail that has a butterfly monument that you’ll want to stop and read. You might also want to take the trail just to the right of the monument and explore some exciting And a little bit off the beaten path trails make sure you don’t wear your good shoesThis place also has some exciting places to stay. If you want to do a weekend trip you can use the campgrounds or you can rent a cabin for you in least seven of your friends then you can spend the night maybe have a bonfire or just chill by the water. Whatever you decide to do, you will not be disappointed .

Cool place. Old plantation on a river. Not crowded. Lots of trails for hiking or horseback, canoeing etc.

The Preserve is lovely, peaceful and quiet. We rented a cottage for the weekend. It was very nice and comfortable except there were only 3 rocking chairs and not enough bedding for the sofa bed. You are required to pay a $200 cleaning fee at time of reservation. You are then responsible for cleaning the cottage and we were told cleaning supplies would be provided. I now find out that the $200 refund will not be coming for 45-60 days. For me, that is holding my money for almost 5 months.

At certain times the mosquitos are bad, but the rest of the time it is a nice place to walk or drive through, with all the great old trees, history, eagles, and covered bridge.
