So clean so organized when checking in. Baths are clean. Yes there are limbs and leaves but it’s the woods with lots of shade. Absolutely will return

We have been coming to this park for years . Great park for camping, running, disc golf course is so much fun with woods and open spaces. Christmas lights are cool. Picnic areas and pavilions. Only negative comment is stupid statue of man carrying acrocodile, ( yes I'm aware of the symbolism) ya know crocs are so native to Newport News! Kinda looks like George Washington too! Just sayin Great park in all honesty, enjoy.

I've been coming to Newport News Park since the early 70's. Each trip is a new experience and opportunity to discover it's evolving and ever-changing natural environment. Nature is winning the race here; she's flourishing at Newport News Park!! Pack a lunch and let NATURE TAKES ITS COURSE!! You won't regret it I promise.

We took a trip to Colonial Williamsburg during the Christmas season and went to the Newport News Christmas light display at Newport News Park. I would defiantly recommend it to anyone who enjoys light displays. It was well priced, during the week $15 a car and $18 for weekends. We went during mid week around 1 hour before it closed. The lack of traffic allowed us to drive as slow as we liked without hindering others. The display was arranged well with themed areas. A great way for those who may not be able to walk the light display at Bush Gardens to still take in some lights. The warm car is a plus as well, on those frosty winter nights!
