The breakfast is always great but the Santa and the activities for the kids is what takes it over the top

The Festival of TreesNo longer do they do the gingerbread houses but the trees and wreaths were beautiful . I plan to go again next year. They finish up just before Thanksgiving & it lasts a week, $15 for seniors, $7 to park

We visited the Orlando Museum of Art on the final Third Thursday of the month—a fantastic perk for both locals and visitors. (Note: November skips this tradition in favor of turkey and pie.)For our trip, we hopped on the SunRail in DeBary and rode down to the AdventHealth Station. From there, it was an easy, mostly shaded stroll to the museum—always a plus in Florida’s “sunshine with a side of sauna” climate.The featured exhibit, Florida Prize in Contemporary Art, was nearing its close, but we thoroughly enjoyed the works of all the artists. That said, we’re not entirely sure we agreed with the judge’s pick for the $20K prize. Our group unanimously fell in love with Kandy G. Lopez’s portraits—stunningly crafted with woven yarn. If it were up to us, she’d have walked away with the big check.On our return, we discovered a tiny but bustling Chick-fil-A tucked into the corner of the station and hospital. Great service, quick bites, and waffle fries to discuss art over—what’s not to love?Definitely worth the visit. Go for the art, stay for the yarn, and maybe grab a chicken sandwich on the way back.

This was my first time visiting an art museum in maybe 10 years or so. My family and I do love the theme parks of Orlando, but it is nice to see other parts of the city as well. The exhibits are designed in a way that makes it easy to go through each gallery and see the art pieces. I loved reading the artists’ stories. It was a wonderful visit, and I would love to visit again for one of their programs.

Year after year this is consistently a wonderful way to start the holidays. We enjoyed breakfast with Santa and then toured the beautifully decorated museum.
