GET FIRED UP is a paint it yourself pottery studio in downtown Melbourne. We have over 400 items you can choose from. Most items are priced at $25 or less and that price includes the whole process. Pottery painting is a great activity for individuals, couples, families and small groups...and it is something even young children can easily do. We will show you everything you need to know. You can take as long as you need to finish though many projects can be completed in about 2 hours or less. Once you are done painting we will fire your pottery and you can come back in about 3-4 days to pick up the finished pottery. We operate on a walk in basis...Tuesday thru Saturday...10 am to 10 pm. We do recommend reservations for groups of 6 or more.

Reviews
tripadvisorI will leave 5 stars for the creativity, environment, and overall experience that I believe “Get Fired Up” could potentially provide. The reason why I’m leaving a one star review has absolutely NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS PARTICULAR BUSINESS. IT’S SOLELY REGARDING AN EMPLOYEE. Now, I don’t usually like to leave negative reviews, but I’ve been going out of my way to contact the owner, yet I cannot find their individual contact information. There is an employee (I didn’t get her name) that does not belong working at this facility. She has brownish/reddish short hair that’s cut sort of like a mullet while facing her head on (it’s all one length). She’s arrogant, bleak, and clearly shows signs that she does not want to work at Get Fired Up. We also witnessed her being rude to another woman. This employee will roll her eyes at you (to your face, while you’re literally looking directly at her). She also talks down to clients (even when they’re older than her). Weird. I considered bringing my entire family to celebrate a family member’s birthday pretty soon. We’re all artists, and a few of us have stopped in before. We will avoid this location if this young woman remains there. It’s a good thing that I didn’t book anything this coming up month. We have a family member that me be “on the spectrum, and I cannot imaging having to deal with this girl during an event. She’s hyper unprofessional. There are a few young employees that seem rather bored at this location. What a pity. We don’t need to be smiled at, and we’re not entitled to anyone’s attention. HOWEVER, if my family is going to spend money to enjoy time making memories together at Get Fired Up, this is where I will draw the line. Please get to know your staff, and please replace those who couldn’t care less. This business is beautiful and unique. Melbourne has been in need of a place like this for years. We’re all local, and became super ecstatic once this location opened up. You wouldn’t want an employee to soil your name for you. I apologize for the single star. If changes are made, we will return, and I will write a 5 star review. Thank you!
MoreI took my hot girlfriend here for an afternoon date and she loved it. The hardest part might have been picking out which shape we wanted. She went with a potted cactus, and I grabbed a geometric fox. We both were a little surprised how laser focused we became while painting our peices. In we spent about 2 hours working on ours. We were able to pick up our finished peiced a week later and the turned out awesome. My girl was for sure, fired up about it.
MoreI have been going to Get Fired Up weekly for over a year now. It has become like a sanctuary for me. I can be creative and peaceful at the same time. What sets this place apart from other ceramic studios is the staff. Skylar always has a big smile on her face. She is knowledgeable and extremely encouraging. I’m my toughest critic, and she always has compliments. She even remembers pieces that I did months ago. She makes it feel like you’re part of the “family”. Maria (the owner) and McKenna are also very sweet, knowledgeable, and add to the inviting, welcoming atmosphere . It’s like the show “Cheers” where everybody knows your name. Thanks to all!
MoreI made myself a star wars may the fourth be with you at get fired up with 11 ladies. Skylar was unbelievably helpful got all us newbies that never painted before. She helped with selections, colors, techniques and suggestions. A great place to go for any age. The owner Maria really cares about you being satisfied
MoreLooking for something different to do last minute for my sister's birthday. This was a super idea. You just walk in, no reservations required. I would probably call ahead if I had a group of 5 or more because even on a Tuesday afternoon they stayed really busy. There is a wide variety of pottery items you can choose from to paint with nothing over $25. You only pay for the item you're going to paint. Paints, brushes, etc are provided free. Once you chose your item and pay for it you pick your paints and go to work. It was fun and relaxing at the same time. You can take as long as you want to paint your item, you're not given any time limit. When you're done painting you put your item on a cart so they can fire it. It takes 3 or 4 days, then you come back and pick up the finished project. We spent about 2 1/2 hours and spent less than $40 for a memorable birthday for my sister. We spend more than that when we go to the movies and it's not half as much fun.
