tripadvisorAll you need to do is head to Jackson Square and the carriages are lined up. They will try to fill their carriages so you may get moved for a bigger group. I used Rollin 20's on my tour and the gentleman driving was kind, courteous and shared lots of information about the Quarter. It was a $20 well spent and it was nice to not walk for 30 minutes.
MoreThis is a nice way to the see the French Quarter and get a little history in the process. This last time, we had the Purple Man (dressed all in purple with a purple carriage) as our driver. He is fun and has good stories. I have had other trips that told more history, which we liked more. We paid $20 per person for a 30 minute tour.
MoreFound this was great and the driver very informative about the French Quarter. She seemed to know everything and amazed us by refusing a tip at the end - she said she loved her job so much she did not need tipping! A real first for America. The down side was we had prepaid tickets and had a lot of trouble securing a ride - the on the street organisers were giving preference to those with a handful of dollars. Despite this we had a meal and then returned and finally has a really enjoyable half hour night tour of the French Quarter. Could recommend it to anyone - adult or family groups.
MoreWe decided to get a quick 30 minute ride for $20 per person around the quarter. Nice overview of restaurants but not much shared about the history of the city. Still for $20....it was an ok way to see a bit of area.
MoreOur driver was very knowledgeable about the French Quarter. Moonshine, the mule, was cooperative with some prodding. The carriage held 6 people plus the driver. The tour was an hour with about 30 min of that time spent in the cemetery. Too much time. My fault for not asking for specifics of the tour. Cost was $40 per person
