The Lutcher Theater is a wonderful venue with multiple shows and plays rotating throughout the year. We love to catch shows here whenever we get the chance.

This is a first class performing arts center in a small Texas city. As someone passing through, it was unexpected, as many larger Texas cities would kill to have performing arts center like the Lutcher Theater. Holding just shy of 1500, the pitch of the orchestra seating is unique, creating wonderful site lines to the stage. The seats are comfy, and the acoustics are good. If you're passing through Orange on I-10, look at the schedule before your trip. Because Orange is smaller, while this theater attracts national tours, many of them are Friday night and Saturday matinees. We caught a Saturday matinee of the national tour of the musical Dirty Dancing (nobody puts Baby in a corner!) while we were passing through, and still made it to our destination three hours northwest later that night.
