Founded in 2012, Grapes & Paints is Johnson County's first social BYOB painting studio which caters to all ages. Private parties are offered 7 days a week based on availability with public paint nights offered every Wednesday evening at 6:30. In addition to instruction, Grapes & Paints also provides canvases, acrylic paints, brushes, smocks, glassware, bottled water and a work of art for inspiration. Emphasizing "fun art" not fine art, Grapes & Paints pairs groups of novice painters with enthusiastic local artists who guide them stroke-by-stroke through creating their own version of a featured art work. The relaxed, laid back environment is more of an art party than an art class. Painters are encouraged to bring in their favorite appetizer and adult refreshments, making it an ideal venue for occasions such as team buildings, date nights, birthday celebrations or a girls' night out. Basically a place that can be enjoyed by everyone!
