The Edmond Fire Department is a part of the city of Edmond, Okla. The department is responsible for the preservation and protection of the lives of residents, businesses and visitors. It provides and installs carbon monoxide detectors and smoke alarms for hearing impaired individuals. The Edmond Fire Department also offers fire safety education programs through safety presentations, fire drills, station tours and child car seat installations. The department s fire prevention division investigates the cause determination of fires, as well as provides permits for professional public fireworks displays. Its fire suppression division is responsible for emergency medical first response and rescue activities. The Edmond Fire Department additionally provides school visitations, senior workshops and other community events.
