Delray Oaks is a forest reserve where one can find the shady and arching trees of oak, strangler fig, wild coffee, cabbage palm and American beautyberry. This natural habitat serves as surroundings for a great species of birds and plants. When going for a trail, you can spot blue-grey gnatcatchers, hawks and birds of other species.

tripadvisorBeen here 4 times now. Locals seem to love it too. Pretty casual amount of foot traffic especially compared to other desolate parks
MoreIt's close to I95, they have parking, trails. Some small animals, lots of birds, trees. It's good to just get out and relax.
MoreOn the plus side, there are very few remaining wooded areas with trails in this region - especially in the urbanized area - so it's nice to have this resource to take advantage of. Most trails in area parks - if they have trails at all - are either paved, straight, or designed for bikes. The trail here is mostly paved but there is a dirt trail that branches off the main one. On the negative side, it is very short. One would have to loop around several times to get in an hour of walking. One recent afternoon I was about to make it to an hour when it started getting dark. Just then a gentleman on a bicycle came through the trail, saying, You shoudn't be on the trail after dark. As he rode off, he yelled out, Come to think of it, I shouldn't even be here with a bicycle. I don't know if he was patrolling for anyone official but I had a brief moment of solitude before being rudely interrupted by a bike on a trail labeled foot traffic only, especially after having given up on two area trails because they allowed bikes. I saw a large turtle. That was nice.
MoreThis places makes for a nice walk but that’s about it. Nothing special and in my opinion unless you live near by there is no reason to come here as there are better options.
MoreAn easy trail with lots of trees and birds. Good for a relaxing walk or your daily step catch up! This place is very near to interstate 95.
