Very dissatisfied with Lotusland.I booked a visit and tried to change the reservation date through multiple channels (I called them, I emailed them). They even called me on the date of my initial reservation and I explained that I tried to change the reservation through email and a phone call. After that, they never responded when I reached out. They would not reschedule me and would not refund my initial reservation. I was unable to go unfortunately, and they said I should book again (and pay, ‘because it is beautiful and worth it to see’) but now I am a very unhappy customer. I have heard it is lovely, but because of this experience I do not want to go.

Docent tour with Barbara Kennedy was terrific, exceeded expectations! Covered a lot of ground (literally and figuratively) in 2 hours. We aren’t gardeners but appreciated hearing about the different species and Madame’s amazing life.

I was in the area for a celebratory weekend, and while planning my trip I remembered that a couple of people in the past had recommended seeing this place. Signing up online was easy. When I bought my ticket, the docent led tours were sold out, but when I arrived I asked if there had been any cancelations and there had been, so I happily paid the extra $15 and had a small group tour w/ a great docent. This garden is amazing. It is so serene w/ so many different types of plants, trees, flowers, and ponds. My only complaint is that the tour is a quick 2 hours & they don't let you stay afterwards.

What a beautiful property to visit and see all the gardens. One can only imagine living on thus beautiful property tucked in a beautiful neighborhood with all these gorgeous gardens of different plant species. The only drawback is you are limited to two hours snd need to make a reservation in advance as they have a maximum number of visitors. I was fortunate to have had met a volunteer who gave me the history and pointed out things that I woukd have missed. It is truly indescribable!

We visited on a somewhat chilly March morning, and I was nervous that because of the season that there may not be much to see. I was wrong! We were guided around by a docent who was extremely knowledgeable and also very pleasant. The tour took around two hours. The gardens are divided into various sections, all with their own little bit of history and the grounds overall are immaculately kept mostly in a casual style. The topiary animals and huge floral clock were in stark contrast to thr cactus gardens and the cycad garden. Overall well worth a visit.
