We were three couples here for a packed house show here on a Tuesday matinee starting at 1 PM. You would think it’s a Sunday afternoon. But everybody came out to see Joy Altman in the tribute to Her name is Barbra (Streisand). The show was absolutely fabulous. What a voice! She would make Barbra proud. We had center block seats right in the center of this one-level theatre in comfortable chairs. I honestly don’t believe there’s a bad seat in the house. This is a lovely theater located in an out-of-the-way place in the rear of a residential neighborhood set on Lake Ida. In fact, if I had paid an extra $10 on top of the ticket, I would’ve been able to have a box lunch from two Jays prior to the show sitting on the deck outside overlooking lake. It’s so serene. I have tickets down the road for other shows but I will definitely think of doing that in the future. Parking is not a problem because they have their own lot with a ton of spaces. However, there was no valet so most people dropped their friends off and got their spot. The theater has an array of fabulous shows throughout the season. They publish a book from which to choose your shows. The box office is right up front. You can pick your tickets there or they’ll email them to you. There is a finance charge for doing it online. I love this charming venue for wonderful entertainment.

My first time seeing a show here. I immediately loved the intimate feel of this neighborhood theatre. The staff were most welcoming and were always happy to chat with us. The setting of the theatre is gorgeous - located on a lovely point overlooking Lake Ida. We saw the Jimmy Buffet musical 'Margaritaville.' Upon entry we were given leis and during the show's intermission the bar was serving, what else...Margaritas! The show itself was okay. A bit amateurish, but loads of fun, nonetheless. Ticket prices are quite reasonable with virtually every seat essentially orchestra seating in this small theatre. I will definitely look to return to the playhouse for future shows, musicals, etc. A true hidden gem!

We went to a tribute band show for Queen. There were major problems with the sound system and the microphones in the 1st part of the show. The drummer and guitarist were excellent but the lead was not even close to real. Disappointed as I love Queen

The Delray Playhouse is a hidden gem. They have many different performances all year round. Any seat is a good seat.
