tripadvisorAmazing stay at historic hotel. This place is a hidden gem. It reminds me of staying at my grandmothers house when I was a kid. It’s not fancy but cozy. Right on the avenue and near everything. You would think it would be noisier but it’s quiet. A nice continental breakfast is a bonus. However, the ultimate best thing is the beach club. It is right on the beach with a huge pool and a cold plunge. The lunch was amazing and the people were sooooo nice. They charge 30 each for guests but the lady was so nice that she didn’t charge me for the kids. It was truly the best day ever. We will be back!
MoreOn top of the cleanliness issues and poor customer service, I was dealing with a migraine and had an important business meeting scheduled. I followed the hotel’s own instructions and called at 9:00 AM to respectfully request a late checkout, which was approved until 1:00 PM. I also made it clear that I needed privacy and did not want to be disturbed.Despite having a clearly visible “Do Not Disturb” sign on my door, staff continued knocking and woke me up, which was extremely frustrating and disruptive. This directly impacted my ability to rest and prepare for my business meeting, which was ultimately pushed back because of the interruption.A hotel should respect a guest’s privacy and honor requests that have already been communicated. Combined with the dirty room conditions, concerns about cleanliness, understaffed and unhelpful service, and management’s refusal to provide reasonable accommodations, this was one of the worst hotel experiences I have had.Even during the off-season, when the property appeared to have plenty of availability, management including Bill showed no willingness to resolve the situation or make any effort to make the stay right. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere; there are much better options in the area that value their guests.
MoreStayed here on June 9, 2026. Everything was great. We had a queen room located at the end of a hall so it was very quiet and overlooked Atlantic Avenue. My only complaint about the room is that there was only one comfortable chair to sit on. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable and had a huge closet. As a guest here? You have access to their Cabana Club located right on the beach! They offer a heated salt pool, beach cabanas, beach chairs, umbrellas, towels, showers and changing rooms. They also have food that is offered from 12 until 2:30pm. No alcohol is available but you can bring your own! LimitedFood selection but it was diverse enough to have something for everyone. The beauty of this is that it is only 2 miles from the actual hotel and you can go there all day the day you check in and all day the day you check out! The beach is beautiful! Definitely recommend that you take advantage of that. Lots of restaurants located within walking distance of the hotel. The hotel has a bar which is open from 5-9. Staff is friendly and accommodating! Definitely going to go back.
MoreI have stayed here before, and if you are looking for the best location, the best patio of people watch and an old school vibe this is it.The hotel has a private beach club with a pool, which is perfect for travelers because you don’t have to worry about fighting the crowds or sitting a towel at the beach. There is entertainment on the porch on the weekends. The rooms and property are historical so if you are looking for contemporary, this isn’t it, but it is a home run.
MoreGreat location walkable to everything. Cozy room and pet friendly. Really enjoyed the front porch for cocktails. The beach club was a short bike ride away and could've spent all day there, but the weather didn't cooperate during our stay. Yoga classes are offered off the lobby area daily too! Would definitely return!
