NEVER made it to the theater. !!! ALL the parking lots near the theater now, 9/20/25, even city street 'meters' with Park Mobile, use an automated parking ticket system (out of Calif) that charges a 1-time flat rate of $25..... regardless of how long one is there !!! Even the app for city meters, now defaults to the $25 min parking fee........ Guess downtown Tampa no longer wants Tourists, even locals to visit. I suspect the lots are privately owned, but did the City vet this company ???? I'll not return to DT Tampa...hope the 'arts' and small mom-pop restaurants survive !!

My spouse and I went to a movie last evening at this historic theater. Although we were in the smaller screening room, we got to walk through the fantastic main auditorium. The mosaic floor in the lobby is remarkable on its own. Hopefully next time we'll be able to take a tour of the building.

Absolutely stunning historic theatre. It may be 100 years old but a recent multi-million dollar refurbishment means it’s comfy and as well as beautiful. Great place to see a concert or movie because no matter where you sit you’re never more than about 75-feet from the stage/screen. As well as current films it also plays classic movies year-round. The staff couldn’t be friendlier, the concessions stand has a good variety and is cheaper than most venues, concessions and the popcorn is the best in town.

We enjoyed a corporate event here prior to an open screening of It's A Wonderful Life in this historical theatre, one of the top ten historical theatres in the US. They host classic movies, sign-along movies, new movies that sometimes become hits, foreign language movies, and a myriad of events and activities. The theatre has three levels, only the main level accessible with no elevator to first (restrooms only) or third level (mezzanine) due to historical preservation. I love the preserved detail of the stage areas and the tradition to play the organ prior to every show. Rosa Rios was the original organist who played until she was 103 years old. The new John T, Taylor Screening Room offers a 43 seat venue for small events an screenings. Wheel chair access van parking in pay by app street parking and garage parking with curb cuts.Wheel chair access restroom on main level with 3 grab bars and hands free hand wash. Restrooms on first and third levels have a a tiny kids toilet.STEPHEN is the friendly face at the entrance to the theatre Great service tonight by Stephen, Kenneth and Juan and a woman whose name I forgot.

What an absolutely amazing place! From the minute we stepped through the doors we knew we were in for a very special experience. We went to watch a film, and due to the recent weather, we practically had the whole place to ourselves. We sat upstairs and the view was fantastic. Yes the seats are a little tight, but who cares! Amazing place, amazing experience!
