Interesting and informative. Great variety of items. Enjoyed stepping out into the gardens. We spent about 1.75 hours. There’s a cafe inside. Finding parking was hard.

We went here because they had a special exhibit featuring artwork by the 16th century painter Caravaggio. What we didn't know was they only had two of his painting on display. Given the hype behind this exhibit, we were hoping to see more of his work but came away disappointed. The museum isn't very big but they have a nice selection of art and artifacts ranging from Greek and Roman antiquities to modernism and abstract art. There is also a small bakery/cafe in the lobby. Allow an hour or two to see the entire collection. There is limited parking but parking meters are available on the street.

A nice smaller scale museum with a decent collection of paintings, a fairly large space for special exhibit (Caravaggio & school when I went, but only 2 by the artist himself, the rest focus on those who 'saw the light' as it were). Wings for a sampling of African, Greek, Asian, et al - if these are not of interest then collection is all done in under 2 hours. Given that, parking in the lot is a rip-off - 4 hour increment only. Better to spend a few minutes finding street parking.

The MFA is a traditional museum. They had an outstanding exhibit of Kimonas. Not only were they exquisite, but the way they were displayed was extremely well done.If you have any interest in Kimonas, then this is a must see. It could have been greatly improved if they had interspersed videos of how Kimonas are made.The rest of the museum is full of pictures of white people. They can definitely
