If you've wondered how sun and wind supply power and water and how a host of other things work, this is the spot to find out. This environmental and educational center located at a 50-acre park is highly recommended not only for its low price, but also for its fine educational offerings. You can see a lake, upland forest and wetlands environment here and spot most of the plant and animal species native to this area. A mile-long nature trail winds through the park and an Interpretative Center features wildlife exhibits, displays, information, a classroom and a laboratory.

tripadvisorThe park offers wonderful birdlife, with many birds visible up close. The trail was pleasant, and I thoroughly enjoyed the visit.
MoreAmazing park just wish the birds didn’t have to be shackled but I guess it’s what’s best for them. The nature walk was amazing.
MoreSo many reasons to visit this park.My favorite exhibit was 2 hawks sharing a cage containing swings. The birds figured out how to get the swing working. I enjoyed watching the birds rock their necks back and forth to continue the swinging motion. The peacocks are colorful and fun and roam around freely.Restroom near one of the parking lots.We probably would have gotten lost without holding a map in our hands. I received the map from employees in the building near the parking lot.Lots of shade. Several rocking chairs on a porch near the playground and near the small turtle pond.
MoreBarb of the Tampa Bay Raptor Rescue is totally amazing. She has superior knowledge, training and caring for all birds. Her staff is amazing and care with all their hearts. This is a place you can walk trails, see amazing birds give a chance to live, and meet extraordinary people. They care and being a non profit do not have to, however they love and care for their job and birds. They can use help and deserve it as this is an organization protecting birds, the ecosystem, and the circle of life. People can make a difference and they truly do
MoreGreat nature park and trails close to City. Nice collection of birds of prey including a bald eagle, hawks and owls. Came during feeding time of the birds. Also, turtles, a butterfly garden and beautiful peacocks
