The Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens is a conservation zoo that emphasizes natural animal behavior rather than them just lounging behind the glass. The zoo also stresses education, where it allows its visitors to take a hands-on approach to nature. The "Meet the Keeper" series includes informational exhibits with question and answer sessions. Visitors can experience close encounters with alligators at "Alligator Bay", where the alligators swim and jump out of the water to catch their prey. The Primate Expedition Cruise, a 20-minute ride along several small islands on which many endangered species live, is another crowd favorite. There's also a 52-acre botanical garden on the grounds. Food is available, and there is a picnic shelter, but alcohol, plastic lids and straws are prohibited.

tripadvisorWe went to see something we had not seen. The fee was high and unfortunately there had been some bad information online listing free admission for kids in costume. It was hot in our costumes and the boo at the zoo was more understated than I was expecting. The boat ride was a nice addition, the grounds are clean, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I guess I was disappointed because we drove so far. We were there for about two hours and had been everywhere with no shows at the tiger, panther, bear, honey badger. There are lots of promotions about lions, but there were no lions.
MoreI had a great time as a solo adult! I fed a giraffe (worth the upcharge!) I got to see lots of wild cats, a capybara, and aligators!
MoreIt was a blast. The kids loved it. There’s many things to see the boat rides to monkey Island was awesome. definitely something to do if you wanna kill 2 1/2 to 3 hours. My favorite part was the alligators
MoreWe had a wonderful morning at this beautiful zoo. Our favorite thing was watching the orangutans and gibbons interact. They were very playful and entertaining the day we visited. The boat ride to the Monkey Islands was another favorite.
MoreThe Naples Zoo had a lot of fun attractions but I recommend to take plenty water with you. Overall, I recommend the monkey boat ride. The best zoo I’ve ever been to.
