For snow birds looking to maintain their regular workout routines, the best deal in town is the YMCA. We checked out local health clubs, and, nice as they were, they had pricier monthly rates, fewer and less diverse equipment, fewer and less diverse classes, and no pool. Even on the weekends, we never had to wait for a piece of equipment and never had to share a lane in the pool. Add to that their friendly staff, their excellent locker rooms and shower facilities, and their free coffee, you can't beat it.
