It's my favorite thrifting spot in Sarasota. Has great items, wonderful volunteers and all for a good cause. Highly recommend

I am writing to agree, regarding some attitudes of some volunteers. Not most, I am sure. Whether one is being compensated, or not, there needs to be respect. I mentioned something to the cashier recently (after spending money on two items), that I had been shopping at the Exchange, since they first opened. Items back then were on wooden tables, and it was very different from today. The cashier (also focused on another volunteer) ignored my comment. No one was waiting, and I was not holding another up. (Inconsiderate and rude.) Please take the time to pass this on to the volunteer coordinator.

Have been an avid shopper of the exchange for a number of years. Really liked it better when it was the Women's Exchange with better quality and it seemed like they didn't take everybody's junk to sell!!! I have been burned too often with broken plant stands, missing parts for wine aerators, broken luggage and other fun stuff that you thought you were getting a bargain. Too much crap and broken stuff dropped off to sell in consignment with little attention to detail........Will not be back to buy broken items that should not even be in that shop to sell........Don't waste your time tring to return broken items......Over and out of this place!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!

Unfair business practices. Tried to buy an item on line when the price was about to drop on the next business day. It sold the day before for the higher price and I don't believe that it sold for the higher price. Someone obviously offered them a deal before COB the day before the price reduction. I asked for an explanation...and got no answer. Seems fishy to me. I've seen this kind of activity with other similar places.

I love this place and usually manage to find a treasure here when I visit. It's fun to scour through the thousands of items donated to the shop and fascinating to watch the shoppers too. All types shop here, so it's an entertaining half hour to have a look around. Thurston and Muffy from the country club, Billie-Jo and Randy are here with their harley's parked outside....it is fun. Good quality carpets, china, jewellry, glass and crystal, sometimes some nice artwork - you never quite know what you'll find ; )Good luck hunting!!
