The trip was over 100 miles for me, but it was well worth the country Drive. The ladies in the store were awesome. The guests in the store sitting around the table doing their projects were so so friendly. Loved the items ahead for sale in the store. I truly will go back here again. It is the best store I have ever seen.

Even in these crazy times, Jean is there to help. I received my phone order, which I placed Friday afternoon on Monday. Wow! talk about quick service. Thank you, Jean! Stay safe!

Jean Bendula, the owner of Brick City Cross Stitch, has a goal of customer satisfaction. She helps in anyway she can with design, fiber and fabric selection. The shop has something for everyone in the form of cross stitching. If you are passing through Central Florida, take a day to stop in Ocala to visit Brick City Cross Stitch and have lunch downtown at Harry's.

This is a nice friendly place to shop, there are usually stitchers present and you're always invited to the weekly stitch in. They have a large selection of fabrics, though you may need to order if you need a large size - not a problem, if you aren't local they will send it to you. They have a great selection of flosses, and tons of charts. It is always nice to see what new samples are on the walls. All in all, a must stop if you are in the area. A nice place to shop or just cha with fellow stitchers.

If you're interested in cross stitching, there aren't many shops within a reasonable distance, but Brick City, in Ocala, makes up for this in quality. Spent a delightful 1.5 hour in Jean's shop. She has a large variety of patterns, by various designers and topics. Because of the breadth of the variety, if you're looking for a special topic, say birds, there may not be a mammoth selection to choose from, but the overall variety means there is something for everyone. In addition there's a good selection of fabric and thread. Lots of completed designs on the walls and the patterns for the displayed are all in one place by the front. They've also got a selection of old patterns for $.50. Jean is a delight and very knowledgeable. The shop has stitch sessions to drop by and chat and stitch. So if you're any where near, or do what I did and make an afternoon out of the trip, and you enjoy cross stitch, I would definitely recommend Brick City Cross Stitch.
