My second visit for a trim and base color. Megan did an excellent job. Today I am going back for a facial.

I went to get my hair colored a specific look today and walked out with my hair looking exactly the same as when I went in. She colored my hair first, shampooed it and when I sat back down in the stylist chair with a wet head and a towel she told me she did not have the time to cut or blow dry my hair. I told her that was the whole reason I came here to have it colored’ cut and styled. I haven’t had a hair cut since covid started. After that another lady came to me and told me they couldn’t cut or blow dry my hair at this point I was getting upset now a third lady came and told me the same thing. I took off my cape and proceeded to just leave the manager stopped me at the elevator and told me that they didn’t have the time for me and she wanted me to pay. At this point I am standing by the elevator with my head soak and wet and not brushed just wanting to leave the manager insisted I pay I was so upset as I watch my hair stylist grab her other client and proceeded to take care of her. I WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK THERE AGAIN!!! My hair color also looks exactly the same as when I first showed up no change at all. If your gonna run a business then you need to take care of your client’s properly. I wish there was a way to post before and after because my hair turned out nothing how I wanted it. I love using AVEDA products. My spouse and I always use their products from shampoo, conditioner, hair paste, hairspray etc. Needless to say AVEDA is, for us, synonymous to high quality of products and services and we are willing to pay for quality. Today, I came in confident that getting a haircut and hair color is going to be uneventful- it’s AVEDA I trust them. But here is the picture of the result. Let the picture speak for itself. I was shocked when I looked at it closely in my bathroom mirror. Why? What happened? How did they allow me to get out of the salon looking this way? Now I know why the ladies at the front desk were laughing when I turned my back after paying my bill!! I don’t know how this can be remedied. This is the most horrifying haircut I have ever experienced in the hands of a professional. Hair color? Where is the hair color? The only thing colored was my skin around my hairline and face. Surely there is a big gap between the expectation of quality and the actual skill in the saloon. The manager should have been going around checking for quality. It is a disaster. I will never ever go back to this salon again.

I was visiting Ocala from out of state. After I did a bit of research, I chose Face the Day Spa and Salon and could not have been more pleased. I look forward to visiting again just to go for the pampering! Amy Bazil did a fantastic job on my pedicure. The polish looked great for months, no peeling or chipping. The massage chair made this pedicure extra special. It was a relaxing, enjoyable, as well as professional experience. I highly recommend Amy!

Allow me to tell you about my Outstanding experience at the Face the Day Spa and Salon. I was in Ocala, Fl visiting my Niece with my Son who was here from Portland, Oregon. I decided to treat my son and myself to an early Christmas gift , my niece strongly suggested Face the Day Spa and Salon, I fully understand why. I found them on Facebook, left a message as to my sudden, unexpected visit to Ocala, apologized for the short notice but wanted to book massage appointments for both myself and my son if at all possible. I was immediatly given a reply, told they were booked but would let me know if they had any cancellations. I thanked them , appreciated the fast response and informed them we could be very flexible with times. Let me tell you Face the Day went through great lenths to accomidate us as we were only in Ocala that particular Saturday , they went above and beyond what I expected. I'm everso Grateful that they did. From the moment we saw the charming colonial house , walked into the door we were excited. The Face the Day Spa and Salon is upstairs and there is also a charming restaurant downstairs. We went to the Spa upstairs , were immediatly greeted with a very welcoming and relaxing atmosphere, friendly, helpful staff. We arrived early so decided to have an appetizer of Fried Green Tomato's and glass of wine before our massages. The convience was wonderful as well as the service Josh provided to us being very considerate to our Spa appointment. We arrived at the Spa, were directed to clean , private rooms to lock our belongings, dress in comfy robes, given choices for flavored water as well. My massage therapist was Lisa Doyle- Jordan who I can tell you was THE Best I've ever had. She was intune to my needs, my shoulders and lower back, knee etc. She conversed with me on my sented oil choices, employment enviroment, suggestions as to my options. Lisa stayed focused as to my comfort level during the massage and was comforting , professional and comforting. My son's massage therapist was Beth Lauer whom he also said was outstanding. After our massages, we decided to have dinner downstairs , again waited on by Josh and had a fantastic meal. I Strongly recommend Face the Day Spa and Salon if your in the Ocala, Fl area. I am going back to visit my niece and we are planning to have a girls day, I can't wait. The management , owners should be commended, this was Truly an Amazing experience that I will frequent whenever I am in Ocala from south Florida .
