Paradise Spring is an interesting geological time capsal. Would highly suggest to any cavern or cave diver. Usually not crowded.

Great Scuba Divers hole. Privately owned . Quiet not to many people. I went diving here a few years back when it wasn't so well known. My friend and I were looking up different springs and caves connected to the great Florida aquafer. We went diving in 12 different springs. In Ocala Florida we found this hidden gem of a cave. It's an offset sinkhole that recreational divers can safely do some really cool cavern diving down to the Grim Reaper sign at 99ft deep . Although I think you can go further down if you are full cave certified. There is a mammoth skull inside the cave and many cool fossils. Up topside there is a cool little museum with of some fossils and bones of extinct animals that fell into the springs and drowned. These were found when the owner was cleaning it out the sinkhole.

For some reason all of my reviews were in drafts for an entire year! I just found this out today! Florida is so beautiful and parks are for the most part well taken care of. Enjoy them!

I lived on the 40 acres in front of the property and used to go to the springs Before it was developed. Even though I was a certified diver an expert swimmer I never took the chance.

My husband and I have found this to be one of our favorite places to go, you can stay in the more shallow area if your more comfortable (which I am because I’m newly certified diver) or you can follow the bright yellow rope that literally leads you from the surface of the water all the way to the top portion of the entrance to the cavern where my husband got down to 100 feet deep, not cave certified so that’s as far as he’s permitted but it is really dark so bring a good dive light. The lady that runs it is super friendly and always smiling highly suggest this as a destination you must visit if your near Ocala Fl.
