At Fife's the ambience is familial, no frills and friendly. The kitchen serves simple soul food, from chicken fried steak and dried Lima beans to pork chops and even broiled chicken livers. There is a different special every day, but since the dishes rotate you are bound to see Trout Almondine once again during the week. Fife's has been around since 1956, and though the original Fife no longer runs it, the menu and decor has not changed much, it still serves simple comfort food.
