A & M Peanut Shop Candy & Sweets ·$

The A&M Peanut Shop is so popular and loved for its roasted peanuts that the locals just call it "The Peanut Shop." As you walk past Dauphin Street, the aroma of roasted nuts will lead you to this great store. The nuts are roasted in a machine that is almost 90 years old. The shop also has special candies for sale. The friendly staff will happily make recommendations if the store's candy and nut selection overwhelms you.

I stumbled upon this while walking in downtown Mobile and it was such a great find. It's been around since 1947 and they still roast nuts using a very old machine. The nuts were tasty and they also have a variety of candies as well. It's a great little historic shop and it's definitely a place you should visit!

Very good at what they do, my favorite was the all nut bridge mix, but it was all very good. They had lots of variety as well including, gummies, sponge candies, and lots of types of nuts.

Is a very small, aging business, but did have all sorts of sweets and nuts. They were roasting peanuts as we were there, and there was a female employee that helped us as we did our shopping.

Is one of the must-see places on Dauphin Street but it was smaller than expected. The items available were excellent and it is worth the stop to read the walls.
