tripadvisorSuper fun visit to this area in between trips! Really cool vibes and old town charm. Go for a visit! And the beach is fun too!
MoreWalk this authentic downtown Mani Street with vintage theater entertainment, a plethora of restaurants, shopping, spas and salons. There is even the best old time Hardware store you'll find anywhere. People complain about parking but onstreet places turn over often, there are adjacent lots and a big lot at the beach. Walk the uncrowded pier, an experience you'll remember.
MoreBeach is in good shape and the people are awesome. Daughter got stung by a stingray and the lifeguards were awesome
MoreSeal Beach is an absolute hidden gem, beautifully sandwiched right between the much more commercialized Huntington Beach and the massive, bustling city of Long Beach. For our family, this has easily become our favorite go to spot whenever we want a quick, hassle free getaway to enjoy the sand and ocean breeze. Compared to its famous neighbors, the beach here is significantly less crowded, and finding parking is generally much easier and far less stressful. The town itself features a wonderful, historic Main Street (right next to the beach and pier) lined with charming local shops, family-owned restaurants, cozy cafes, and great ice cream parlors. It also boasts a fantastic, scenic pier that is perfect for a relaxing stroll to take in the coastal views. In terms of natural beauty, the sand and wave quality are not much different from what you would find at Huntington Beach since they share the same stretch of coastline. However, at Seal Beach, you get that exact same premium Southern California beach experience but with a fraction of the crowds and a much more laid back vibe.
MoreWe came to Seal Beach early on Saturday. So, we were easily able to find a parking spot. The beach was clean, the air fresh, and the waves were crashing on shore. Our family was able to see and wade in the Pacific Ocean. Some of us walked out on the pier for an even better view. We paid for parking at a kiosk, all automated, and easy to use. While we were there, the restrooms were cleaned so they were of good quality, even though it was a porta potty. There were lifeguards on duty for safety. Everyone had a good time.
