Reviews
tripadvisorMom and pop motels really need to do a better job. Completely u friendly service, no towels toilet paper or soap.
MoreThe hotel is currently under construction and the none of the websites or reviews we saw stated it was. Our room was completed however the mattress and under sheets had not been replaced. The bedcovers on both beds were stained and dirty but the front desk was able to change them quickly. The tub was dirty with debris probably from the construction. As the motel was under construction it did not have any breakfast, they advised me when we checked it they had coffee only during breakfast time. The price was 85 total for the night which for the area is on the higher end but if we knew the construction was going on we would have chosen somewhere else. Overall it was a lower quality experience than other Motel 6's we've had but once renovations are finished it'll probably ok to stay. We understand renovations have to happen and it's welcome to get a refreshed hotel but the room had not been properly cleaned by housekeeping and that would be my main complaint.
MoreThis is absolutely the most disgusting place I've ever stayed. Cleanliness is non-existent. Had to move rooms because of hair on sheets, next room same thing. They obviously don't change sheets between guests. The rest of the room was equally as filthy. Dried stains everywhere, broken locks, smells musty and dirty. Your skin will itch, your eyes will water. The entire upstairs carpet was covered in dirt and filth, not a vacuum cleaner to be found. I had no choice but to stay, but next time I'd rather go buy a cheap tent and sleep outside before stepping foot inside this gross place again. When I checked out and told the morning person about it, she just shrugged her shoulders and didn't say a word. Stay at your own risk.
MoreI really hesitate to leave a bad review, but this place was deceiving, especially if you're going by overall reviews and photos. It IS a budget hotel, but still.... We stopped here at midnight on our way through Mobile. The front of the hotel looked clean and the Tripadviser reviews were generally really positive for a hotel of this type, so we booked a room for overnight. We were directed to park near a side door and use that entrance. The photo shows the welcoming scene there. Our room, 101, was actually on the exact opposite end, past the desk clerk (was the only other door next to parking, so I didn't misunderstand.) The rooms were sketch! The first bed, nearest the bathroom had sheets that may/may not have been clean, there was long dark hair between the sheets, the pillowcases on the very well worn pillows didn't look or smell clean, and bottom sheet was dingy and appeared slept in. Maybe it was just an old sheet and needed a heavy dose of hot water and bleach. Either way, we chose the other bed. One hand towel in bathroom, loosely folded with another long dark hair on the inside. That was it. No wash cloths, no bath towels, no soap, shampoo, water cups, or Kleenex in the holder. I went out to get a bar of soap, but they were out of shampoo. The real kicker was the pubic hair in the tub rim. This poor motel is showing its neglect. Chipped and peeling paint on the outlets and fixtures, sagging mattresses, flat and dingy pillows, older filthy carpet in hallways that could use at least a cursory vacuuming. The desk clerk was nice though, and I didn't see any mold in this room, so 2 stars instead of 1. Officially the most questionable place we've ever stayed on a roadtrip.
MoreThe hotel is very good for the price and what expectations you should have. It was clean and quiet, which is what I wanted. There are some unsavory types that roam the area, but the same can be said about all the hotels there (many of which are more expensive). A family seems to run this place and they do what they can to keep the lobby floors clean and the grounds well-kept. There are many restaurants nearby from which to choose for meals.
