Established in 1998, the 1,200 acre (4.8 square kilometer) North Etiwanda Preserve is home to two species that members of the San Bernardino community have made concerted efforts to preserve: the Coastal California Gnatcatcher and the Riversidean Alluvial Fan Sage Scrub plant, both of which call this preserve home. Visitors to the preserve can enjoy the loop trail that runs through the park and shows off the park's best features. Picnic tables are available so that visitors can enjoy a meal out in this peaceful environment.

Reviews
tripadvisorAfter a quick (27 minute) sprint to the falls, I headed over to the other side. Nice and quiet, lots of birds, butterflies and lizards. Cooler temps made it a plus.
MoreParking was fine, many great views. The trail is mostly broken up pavement, extremely rocky and you have to look down 90% of the time to keep from stepping on large stones or in the gouged out trail.
MoreDry. Dusty. Exposed. Unwelcoming with parking closed and visitors required to walk roadside an extra 1/4 or 1/3 mile from cars
MoreThe trails here are very clean and well kept. The views are beautiful with every turn. I came here while vacationing and wanted to go for a hike in the morning and it was quit refreshing.
MoreThe hike is a good uphill 20 minute or so stroll. Tennis shoes are perfect. No need for high end walking or hiking gear needed. Its an open trail large enough to fit people going up and down without causing a fuss. B-E-A-UTIFUL waterfall and streams are an amazing reward. Spectacular and stunning views to relax in. Plenty of shade around the water. An amazing experience.
