The Factory at Franklin Shopping Center & Mall ·$$

The Factory at Franklin was built in 1929 in Franklin, Tennessee with a huge historical significance. This spectacular space is a collection of old buildings, belonging to several businesses and began to rot during the depression. After a major renovation, and making sure to preserve the original structure, these buildings have grown to be a part of modern Franklin, housing fancy stores, eateries and artisan handicraft stores. They also have beautiful venues to host events and celebrations and is a huge boon to the people and the community.

We have been to the factory before about a year ago. We basically went to eat at Etch, we had no idea that it had changed so much from our visit several years ago. We couldn’t understand why it was hard to find a parking spot, when we entered we knew why, lots of shops and restaurants, even a bar in the center near the entrance. This visit was again to eat at Etch, which I recommend for a great burger and quality food. We walked around and saw that most of the shops and dining places were still there from our last visit. That’s a good sign. I will say that this place seems to be a hot spot for mall walkers. We saw so many families with small children and strollers just walking around, they didn’t seem to be doing any shopping. With the heat we have had I guess’s this is a good place get the kids out of the house. There are some nice places for Nashville/Tennessee souvenirs, food and people watching.

Best family must! Amazing food, local shopping and activities for kids (like painting pottery and the carousel. Food here is a must!!, and lots of options (coffee, desserts, lunch/dinner). I’m a native and a local, and we shop here vintage, accessories and more.

Many shops offering something for everyone. Parking can be difficult and the layout is often walking in and out of different buildings. Prices can be high depending on the store.

We decided to walk here from Main St, enjoyed our walk in the sun. Very cute venue with lots going on, plenty of places to eat and plenty of stores to have a mosey round. Enjoyed our visit here, also a great place to pick up some merch if like us, you’re a tourist!
