tripadvisorMy wife and I were in town for the week and we got a deal off Groupon like one of the other reviewers had. The girl doing the tastings was very nice. It is true though, you don't get a list of wines and you can only get what they have at the time. We got 3 whites and a red. The cheese tray was just like the picture another reviewer posted. The pours on the wines were generous. But honestly we just enjoyed the experience for what it is and had great conversation with the girl that worked there. Wish I could remember her name but we do have the east coast connection thing. We were from new York, she was from Philly. It is a store that sells wines from other wineries. If they had their own wine they would have probably had a list. I think the conversation made it better then if there had been no conversation. Thank you wine warehouse for the experience.
MoreI was charged twice, in what I believe to be a genuine error, for a credit card transaction on 13th August 2015. Since then I have chased up a reversal of the incorrect charge with the manager, Brook Geftman on at least three occasions by email and once in a phone call from my home in New Zealand. In the latest email to me, I was assured the credit card company had corrected the error and reversed the charge. This has not happened and I still await a reply to my latest email to Brooke of a week ago, where I pointed out the reversed charge has not appeared on my credit card account. I am more than disappointed that I have not received satisfactory customer service since I first entered dialogue on 21 August. It is frustrating to have to revert to Social media, but this is my experience of Wine Warehouse, Scottsdale, Arizona. Not good at all. Don Fletcher-very unhappy former customer
MoreI bought A Groupon for $18.00 which was advertised as a $40.00 value by the business. A wine tasting for two with a meat and cheese platter. We sat down and a very small platter was served along our first of four wind tastings. To be fair, neither my wife or I know much about wine and can not say if the wines that we were served were good or cheap wines. But the pours were small. We never tried the 4th tasting as we thought, why are we here? We left. I do not get it. Why buy wine here when Total Wine is a bit down the road. We will not return.
MoreWe've stopped in here several times now. They have a very good, reasonably priced selection of domestic and foreign wines, any of which you can open and drink there, along with their current selection of wines by the glass. Many small production and out of the way wines to try, and we often walk out with a case or six pack after having some drinks there. Nice cheese plate to go with.
MoreWe bought a Groupon for this place for $18 which was suppose to be a $40 value. We went in and the girl told us to sit anywhere and we gave her the Groupon. There was NO menu of wines we could taste like in a normal wine tasting room. She brought 4 small tastes of 3 foreign wines and one domestic (this would have cost each person $15 - which is at the higher end of wine tasting for choices - we are huge wine tasting people and used to live outside of Napa Valley and travel to Sonoma Valley once a year to taste and nothing is over $15 and that is with choices of what you want to taste for your money). Not good wine really. The cheese and meat plate (a $10 value) consisted of 6 nickel size bites of cheese, 2 grape tomatoes, one pepper, 7 grapes and one paper thin slice of salami and one paper thin slice of pepperoni - cut in HALF. We felt totally ripped off, complained to Groupon who gave us a $5 credit back on our account. Complained to the merchant who really didn't care. If you want to wine taste some good wines with your choice of tastes at a great value and also have a great cheese plate go to SU VINO WINERY in downtown Scottsdale. Go to the review and pictures and compare.
