tripadvisorI’ve never been to Cortez/Anna Maria Island. We went on the Guided Eco Tour with Dan and we had tons of fun but I learned a lot about Cortez. As we paddled around, he told us all about the different buildings and boats. We saw lots of fish and he told us about the different kind of birds and plant Life. Excellent Paddleboarding trip!
MoreWe were looking for a place to rent a kayak where you didn’t have to book a day in advance. We called coastal paddle boarding and they were able to get a kayak right away and they had it waiting in the water when we got there. The owners were really nice and let us launch our personal kayaks from their launch and recommended places to paddle. Will definitely come here to rent in the future.
MoreWe hired 3 double kayaks from Jason. We'd called earlier in the day, and when we returned they were ready and waiting for us, with life jackets already on board. We had our safety briefing and we're off. We kayaked around the coastline and we're lucky enough to see a number of wild dolphins nearby. Unfortunately thunder started and dark clouds approached so we decided to cut the 2 hour planned trip short and head back. We were only charged for an hour, rather than the 2 we'd planned, and had chosen this company as they were already much cheaper than the same over the bridge on Bridge Street.Unfortunately we are leaving today otherwise may have taken Jason up on the service they offer to deliver kayaks to you elsewhere on the island, or hired for a few days or even a week.It may be a while before we vacation here again from the UK, but when we do, we'll definitely be visiting Coastal Paddleboarding again. Thanks for a great afternoon.
MorePaddling along the Treasure Coast has so much to offer and so many different ways to enjoyit. Kayaking, Paddle Boards, Canoes have proven a somewhat personal and, at times, a spirtually invigorating way to get in touch with nature and get a little exercise. On any given day there are opportunities to fish, explore Mangroves, see wildlife like Ospreys, Manatees and even gators. Go at sunrise or sunset, midday or even at night (my favorite) and the experience on the waterways here are simply thrilling. And you can do this year round here and except for those who have to rent a kayak, paddleboard etc, it's pretty much free. Renting is inexpensive and pretty easy to find near where you might want to go. You can also join a Meetup Group like Kayaking and Paddling 101 and sign up for a weekend paddle with a group of fun loving like-minded people. People, it is so much fun, just come and do it!
MoreThe weather cooperated and my family ended up with a private tour. We had a lot of fun, found some moon jellyfish, enjoyed the wildlife a,on the mangroves and had the wind at our back for the paddle home. We really loved that our guide took pictures so we didn't have to worry about a camera getting wet or falling off our boards.
