Set in the luscious hills of Davidson County, this tourist hot spot is as close as you can get to natural wilderness. Go on a hiking trail in the forest area or catch the wildlife in its most natural form. If you're lucky, you may be able to observe some of the rarest species of wild birds here. Don't forget to see some of the most exotic floral wonders the park features. The sprawling 85-acre (34.398-hectare) lake provides the perfect centerpiece for this tourist haven, which is at its best in autumn. They have a strict no-dogs, no-jogging and no-biking policy, though it is allowed on Otter Creek Road.

tripadvisorVisited again September 2026 and its still as beautiful, i hiked up the moderate Gainer Ridge trail, spotted alot of deer and babies, and finished with the easy Lake trail.Beautiful, scenic and peaceful state park in Nashville, TN! Nice walk around Radnor Lake. You can spot turtles, birds, and deer. (November 2022)
MoreWas like in the city/neighborhood.
Morebeautiful 1.37 acre state park in Oak Hill, Tennessee. Has wildlife like owls, herons, eagles etc. We got to see an owl and deer. And many squirrels. The lake itself is beautiful and the lake trail is 2.7 mile loop. There is a ganier ridge and south cove loop trail that is 5.1 miles; and historic valve house trail which is 0.8 miles leading to a historic stone structure.
MoreVery protected large wooded park area and lake with many trails. We entered from franklin drive east side and parking area is not too big so may be hard to park on weekends. No picnicing allowed, but nice quiet area to connect with nature.
MoreBeautifully maintained hiking trails, Beautiful lake, tons of turtles sunbathing, birds chirping, one bald eagle and one wild turkey.
