I went here last year with a group of middle schoolers. It was a fun experience and had a lot to offer with talking about space. We did a scenario where we were trying to send a probe to mars. Each of the kids had different stations they had to man. I felt like it was a little difficult for the kids to manage each station but they had fun. My only complaint was some of the technology could be improved.

Last year my son got to go here for an AR field trip. It was pretty neat. There is zero parking if you don't have a UTC parking tag. They did a couple things like a simulated ride in a space ship and then this area with many stations where they do astronaut type things like puzzles and activities. Then they had a little lecture in a classroom with activities. My son enjoyed it. I am not even sure if its like randomly open to the public or not. It might be pre arranged tours only.

Great meeting and training facility - big rooms and the lobby is filled with space artifacts from Challenger and other space expeditions. There are models too. This place would be fascinating for children but is pretty cool for adults too!

The story behind this center and the wonderful educational space simulations have made this one of my favorite field trip destinations. Our visit was supposed to be part of a larger home schooling group, but no one else showed. Since we were lacking enough participants, I was afraid they would cancel. Instead, they pulled in more staff and recruited two parents to participate to make sure that the kids could complete their Mars Mission. Then they even included rocket building and launching as an extra. They went above and beyond and we had a wonderful experience. Thank you Rachel and Heather!

A terrific experience, one of the highlights of an extraordinary 5 days which included an overnight in an amazing aquarium amongst other activities. The Learning Center is most efficiently organized so that the children participate in hands on activities which include weighing rocks found on Mars, documenting findings and communicating with other participants via computers, and obeying instructions. The children were completely absorbed and involved. It was a wonderful experience for them and for the grand parents who were observing.
