I went to Charlotte Pier on a cold winter day. It's really beautiful and calm and peaceful with snow and ice all around. The walk to the lighthouse and the snow-covered beach was beautiful.

Wonderful hostess and great, comfortable room & bed. We took day trips to Lake Ontario beach and Letchworth Park. Good place to relax in quiet living room and porch by garden. We will definitely return!

The pier is not particularly long, about 2/3 mile from the parking lot to the end, so a little over a mile round trip. It is adjacent to the beach and near the Port of Rochester Terminal and a few other restaurants.

Great walk out to the end of the pier with FROZEN CUSTARD from Abbotts in hand! Watched a group sailing lesson. Lots of sailboats out and about. So interesting to see the sharp demarcation line of Lake Ontario and the river at the end of the pier. Bright blue and brown!
