tripadvisorhotel is good but the knee hockey rule sucks. i get that they dont want knee hockey in the rooms and hallway but thats no fun at all. 0/10
MoreWe stayed two nights Labor Day weekend 2024. Checked in on Saturday, August 31 and checked out Monday, September 2. We were attending the nearby WMSTR annual steam show. So because of this very popular event, this hotel had increased their prices, and many hotels do on special weekend. To digress, we had stayed here about 6 years ago when attending WMSTR on Labor Day weekend. The room price was about $100 and a great breakfast was included. This time, the room price was doubled and the breakfast was eliminated. I know there is inflation, but the cost of living has not doubled in that time. This hotel has become very greedy. One can buy breakfast here, but everything is ala carte, so a full breakfast might cost about $30/person. This is also an evening bistro, but on both nights we stayed, the bistro had no customers. I can see why...expensive $$$. Our room was okay, we were given an handicap room, though we did not ask for it or need it. The room view was of the parking lot. Yes, only an average rating. Next time we will seek out a Fargo Motel when attending WMSTR.
MoreI spent one night at this large Marriott Courtyard that has an attached conference center along with a large indoor pool. Frequent Marriott guests will feel at home in traditional Courtyard room and Bistro area. The hotel was spotless. The young man who checked me in at the front desk gave me a bottle of Gatorade gratis, probably because I looked parched after riding my motorcycle 400 miles. Nice touch. It may have helped that I'm a lifetime Platinum Rewards members. There is a cafe (Village Inn) a short walk from the hotel, but I didn't try it.I would stay here again.
MoreI remember taking the kids to this hotel about eight years ago and they were absolutely thrilled. There was a hot tub, a big kid swimming pool and a little kid wading pool. There was a functioning shower in the pool area and there were plenty of balls in the pool to play with. Now, the hot tub is gone, the balls are gone, the shower has no knob and the jets in the little kid pool do not function. There used to be a rubber duck waiting for the kids to find in the suite, but not anymore. The individual televisions at the tables in the dining area used to function. There used to be games in the lounging area on the main floor. The shower head in the suite used to release water from each of the holes. I could be wrong, but I do not remember the key cards deactivating exactly at 11:00am in the past. This automatic deactivation created a bit of a problem when reentering the building at 11:01am while loading the vehicle with bags. Overall, this is a great hotel, but it used to be even better.
MoreLocation was convenient, we had a surprise balcony room. Indoor pool that we didn’t use… downside no free breakfast. Clean rooms, no other concerns. Staff was friendly and helpful. seems to be in a decent area of town as well. Several restaurants very close by.
