Real tired of entitled pet owners. A couple today let their dogs out of the car unleashed and when I said something I was yelled at by the guy. No one takes responsibility anymore and if those dogs would have attacked my dogs I would have kicked them in the ribs. Unleash AFTER you get in the park. I will not hesitate to report you.

Down town park near Ratha Yatra on the Saturday (yesterday) around 2.30pm Down town park where dogs are permitted but a heafty dog in its playful mood almost pushed me down as was unleashed but the owner (lady) was least concerned and that the park was meant for pets playing! Modern human race psychology no remorse that too for 80year old man! Way of the world . Possible a board can be fixed with an advisory to avoid the park and the same is plight in a few public parks in parts of US. A sojourner so only advice to prospective visitors.

The gates hardly work to stay closed. On a windy day, they place large rocks to hold them closed so dogs don't run out. A couple of the water fountains are broken and don't work. The big dog park has poop all over the place. It's ridiculous! They're aren't any lights for the park or parking lot at night time, you definitely can't stay until 8pm, it gets dark by 5:30pm. This is all very disappointing!!! SO WHAT DO THEY DO ON TUESDAYS when they're closed???? It can't be to cut the grass because they're hardly is any, I guess they close all day just to empty the trash, SMH!!

I was pretty impressed with this dog park. Yes there isn't much grass, but most dog parks don't have much in terms of grass. The park is very large. And I love the fact that it has a pond for your dog to swim if you like (it is a separate area so you can also avoid if if you want). I also really liked their trail system behind. I think its run by mountain bikers, so just make sure you watch for cyclists, but its a pretty decent trail system for the small area they had to work with.

We have visited most of the North Dallas dog parks and can tell you, this is probably the best - there are 2 separate 2 acre fenced play areas for both smalls and bigs + small pond for those canines who like to frolic in the water. There's also a nice walking trail if you want to keep Fido on a leash but get some exercise. One final benefit - the parking lot is patrolled frequently by the police to help cut down on car break ins while owners are preoccupied with their pets. This is one of our pooch's favorite hangouts. The grass is thin but at least it's there (considering the traffic that's remarkable). Located immediately adjacent to the Gramercy Park apartment complex.
