tripadvisorExtremely poor service level of the employees. Room not cleaned 2 days in a row and they make it sound like your fault! Yes the service please sign was on the door! Pictures are better than live experience! Superior room with limited amenities. At check in I had my wallet packed down so I asked to tap with phone. Sorry our owner is old school so we don’t have nfc! How????
MoreI had an absolutely fantastic stay at The Box House Hotel during my first visit to New York, and I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, the team were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful, and really made the stay feel special. A particular thank you to Ray and the rest of the team for the wonderful hospitality throughout my visit. The hotel itself is lovely, has plenty of character, and was a great place to come back to after spending the day exploring New York. What stood out most to me, though, was the service. Everyone I dealt with made me feel genuinely welcome and that made a huge difference to my first experience of the city.Thank you again to Ray and the entire team for helping make my first trip to New York such a memorable one. I would absolutely recommend The Box House Hotel and would happily stay again on my next visit!
MoreThe Box House Hotel is like a 2nd home when I visit! I love coming to this hotel, for it is super nice, the people are nice and the area is wonderful! I had the pleasure of meeting Angelina and Manuel and LOVEDDDD everything about them! They were so down to earth, attentive and just overall helpful especially when I needed things like matches or a band-aid! They were also nice to chat with and share some laughs with as well which I truly enjoyed. They made the experience even more amazing for my friend’s who came for the 1st time! I’ll be back just for them :)
MoreLocation is on the fringe of Greenpoint in Brooklyn. Note that the hotel reception staff were tepid at best. The rooms are spacious with two TVs, one in the sitting area. However, dimly lit. Bedside lighting is minimal. I have seen coal mines with better lighting than in the bathroom. Points for a great shower though. The rugs, let me say, were not new. You are in NYC so it’s gonna be pricey.
MoreFrom the booking with Kristina’s help to check in was a pleasurable experience. The entire staff was cordial and professional. We attended my niece’s wedding on the rooftop which was fantastic. The room was great with a nice city view. All aspects of the stay exceeded my expectations.
